Monster Cleaning Sim Kaiju Cleanup Passes 130,000 Wishlists And Gets Most Requested Feature

It seems there are a lot of people out there who want to clean up the mountains of viscera left behind after a giant monster attack, indicated by the 130,000 wishlists Kaiju Cleanup has amassed since it was revealed in September at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct 2025. However, players would have to tackle these monstrous tasks solo, much to the community’s dismay, that is, until now!

In a press release that was sent out today, Brightrock Games and Mythright, the developer and publisher of Kaiju Cleanup, respectively, announced that the game will now have co-op for up to four players when it launches on PC next year.

“As the most requested feature from the community, we’re thrilled to confirm that Kaiju Cleanup will include full support for 2-4 player co-op at launch,” said Stuart Morton, Publishing Director at Mythwright. “With over 130,000 Steam wishlists since the game’s announcement in September, we’ve been swept away by the level of excitement and support players have shown, and can’t wait to share much more as we scrub up for launch next year.”

Kaiju Cleanup is a cleaning sim of colossal proportions, tasking you with carving up and clearing away the giant carcasses of defeated Kaiju, avoiding radioactive hazards, and cleaning up the streets of your fair city in time for the next attack. Unwind while you wash away the remains, but pay attention, as you’re not just using mops and buckets of water to get the job done. You don’t want to accidentally disembowel one of your co-workers; that’s just more mess to clean up!

After enjoying the co-op cleaning of Power Wash Simulator 2, we can’t wait to pull on the rubber gloves, grab our chainsaws, and tidy up as a team!

Kaiju Cleanup is slated to release in early 2026 on PC (Steam), with a playtest coming up that fans can sign up for.
