We have reached the fall season (for those of us in the Northern Hemisphere). And with that rush of cooler weather comes the Golden Joystick Awards! Cited as one of the longest-running video game awards, Open Voting for the Golden Joystick Awards (GJA’s) started today. The digital polls will close on October 31st, and then polls for the Ultimate Game of the Year award will open November 3rd. These polls, however, will have a much smaller window, closing on November 7th. This coveted title went to Black Myth: Wukong in 2024.
So what’s on the ballot, as far as categories, for the 2025 season? Let’s see, we have:

- Best Lead Performer
- Best Supporting Performer
- PC Game of the Year
- Console Game of the Year
- Best Early Access Game
- Best Gaming Hardware
- Best Game Adaptation
- Best Game Trailer
- Most Wanted Game (who wants to bet it will be GTA VI?)

This year’s Golden Joystick Awards, supported by MSI, accepted nominations from August 14th through September 5th. Additionally, all those who cast their votes this year can claim a free e-book, which includes:
