The Marty Lyons Foundation, founded in 1982, has set an admirable mission for their efforts. The goal: fulfill the wishes of children aged three (3) to 17 years old who have been diagnosed with terminal or life-threatening illnesses. One such story focuses on Seth Goldman, who passed away in 2019 from Ewing Sarcoma (a rare and aggressive form of bone cancer). Seth’s last wish: to meet Team Cherry, the studio behind his favorite game Hollow Knight and the just-released Hollow Knight: Silksong.
Seth was also told by Team Cherry that he could design a character for the upcoming sequel. You are now able to locate this character in Pharloom: Shrine Guardian Seth.

Shrine Guardian Seth, per Game Rant, can be found in a secret area of the Grand Gate. Seth appears as an ant who wields a pin and cymbal, much like a sword and shield. After his defeat, he can be occasionally found in Greymoor, Shellwood, and several other areas of the world. He can also be located in Fleatopia, where you can try and best his scores in various minigames. If you’re successful, you will be granted the Guardian’s Memento.
Seth is also personally thanked in the credits of Silksong, the game that he was unable to see. Despite this, his name does live on within the game itself now.
Silksong Is Real!
Hollow Knight: Silksong is the highly anticipated sequel to the 2017 Hollow Knight from Team Cherry. Years and years of rumor circulated around this sequel. Then, an announcement was made in August 2025 that Silksong would be releasing September 4th, 2025. Yes – the “Silksong is real”! And how real it truly is, with over three million copies sold on Steam in just three days.
