Servant of the Lake Announced as New Entry to Rusty Lake Series

This week has just been announcement after announcement. World premieres of new game trailers and updates to beloved titles abound online. The stellar part of all of this: there’s something for everyone! Even for a fan of point-and-click puzzle games (like myself)! At the Future Games Show at Gamescom 2025, Rusty Lake announced their newest entry into their series of point-and-click games. The new addition to the series: Servant of the Lake.

Servant of the Lake is looking like it’s going to bring us more about what we love from this series of puzzles games. The simple, yet unsettling art. The continuation of this strange story. And the puzzles. Oh, the puzzles! Now, understandably, there isn’t a ton that they’ll be able to show us in this announcement trailer, beyond some snippets of scenes within an old mansion near the lake. This homestead, owned by the Vanderboom family, appears to be holding a dark secret. As we prepare for guests, we’ll start to unravel what is truly happening here.

The Rusty Lake Series

The Rusty Lake series has been a product of Rusty Lake Studio since the far-off year of 2015. Rusty Lake, outside of their namesake series, is also well-known for their other point-and-click puzzle series: Cube Escape. Servant of the Lake will be the ninth entry into the Rusty Lake series. Are we going to get actual answers of what is going on in this story? Probably not, but I’m honestly OK with that. The vibes of this world are enough to keep me coming back for more puzzles and more spooky stories! Did I mention the soundtrack? That too!

Not even going to ask how this relates to one of the puzzles
