The games leaving Xbox Game Pass at the end of August 2025 have been announced. The last announcement of games leaving the subscription service removed four titles, including Atlas Fallen, Persona 3 Reloaded, Anthem and Farming Simulator 22.
Of course, we’re not lacking for things to play, with games like Herdling and the return of the OG Gears of War in Gears of War: Reloaded.
All games marked to leave will leave Xbox Game Pass on 31 August 2025.

- Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition
- PAW Patrol Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay
- Sea of Stars
- This War of Mine: Final Cut
The first one that caught my was certainly Borderlands 3: Ultimate Edition. I suppose that’s the biggest title leaving this month. Especially with Borderlands 4 launching next month. I haven’t given enough time to Borderlands 3, it didn’t grab me like the second one. Though if it’s as big as the second (I’m sure it is), there ain’t no way I’m finishing that in two weeks.
Sea of Stars was another I wanted to play but didn’t get round to. It’s meant to be excellent, and there was recently new DLC released. I would also recommend playing This War of Mine, it’s brutal, but amazing.
