Nihon Falcom and GungHo released more information on characters and locations in this new trailer for their impending release of Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter.

I am completely new to the world of Trails and this will be my very first game in this series. I am looking forward to meeting and hearing Elnan the receptionist, veteran bracer Kurt Nardin, self-indulgent Duke Dunan. There is also butler Philip, the beloved Queen Alicia of the Kindom of Liberl, and the super cool mysterious man Lorene Belgar.  

They also show off a tour of the different locations within the Royal Capital Grancel. It is a city encircled by a long wall. Within this wall is Grancel Castle, Grancel Cathedral, the Grand Arena, and the Erie Royal Villa.

Falcom has shown off so many trailers on the characters and locations at a steady pace. As we get closer to September 19th, it only serves to maintain the hype around it. 

So far we've met Estelle Bright, Joshua Bright, Scherazard Harvey, Oliver Lenheim, Kloe Rinz, Agate Crosner, and more!

It turns out that the original that boasts an already long game time of 40hrs. This is actually going to be much longer!  

According to Nihon Falcom's CEO Toshihiro Kondo, the remake will take about 80hrs to finish instead. 

However, in his interview with The Gamer, he notes that they wanted to emphasize the relationships between the characters. Primarily the siblings Estelle and Joshua and didn't want them to remain overly silent. Expect that during their adventures you’ll hear many more fully voiced scenes than the original. To supplement this longer game time for character building, they implemented quality of life features to make the game feel less tedious. Features like fast travel and high-speed movement options will allow the players to navigate the map more freely. 

Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is a remake of the original The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st and is a turn based role playing game. 

The game follows Estelle Bright and her adoptive brother, Joshua as they attempt to become renowned bracers. As in typical JRPG fashion, what seems like an ordinary mission to keep the peace within the city suddenly becomes so much more as they unravel a conspiracy within Liberl Kingdom. 

This remake reimagines the classic with breathtaking visuals and modernized game play. It follows what the Trails series is known for: countless hours of adventures through elaborate story lines from supporting characters to seemingly unimportant NPCs.

It also puts a new spin on the typical turn-based formula by seamlessly combining it with real-time action combat allowing you to choose whatever suits your play style.
