We all know that one game that defines a franchise, the one we look to as the best out of the series. Many will say the original Modern Warfare 2 or Black ops is the best in the Call of Duty series. Battlefield fans look at Battlefield Bad Company 2 the same way Mass Effect fans look at Mass Effect 2.
Its level of destruction innovated the First Person Shooter genre. It had a great story, incredible graphics, and its overall quality was simply not comparable. The game currently sits at an 88 on Metacritic.

In an interview with PC Gamer, Battlefield 6 multiplayer producer Jeremy Chubb said Bad Company 2 is a “huge inspiration”. The love for the game not only extends from the fans, but also the Battlefield 6 team. Jeremy went on to say, “When you look for excellence in our legacy, [Bad Company 2] is where you find it,”.
Jeremy also went on to explain why he felt it was special, “That game particularly delivered on a level of fidelity and a sort of intimate destructive experience… It was comprehensive, and it felt like the identity of that game more than anything else.”.
Jeremy Chubb also acknowledged that Battlefield 2042’s destruction wasn’t exactly on par for what we could expect from the franchise. He said with Battlefield 6, “we really wanted to go back to” the Bad Company 2-era of destruction.
