Welcome to our guide that will tell you how to complete all of the bucket lists in Time Flies. Bucket lists are your primary objectives in the game, with the completion of all in one run of a level required to progress to the next stage.
You can complete as many bucket list items in one run as you wish but you need to complete all to make progression in the game.
Here are some other hints and tips to help make completing the bucket list objective easier:
- The game lets you select a country for your fly, with your lifespan based on the average life expectancy for that country _ eg if the country has an average life expectancy of 70.5 years, your fly will start with 70.5 seconds per life. The highest life expectancy in the game is Japan with 84.5 seconds, so you should always choose Japan.
- Clocks _ There are clocks in the game that your fly can dial back earning you extra valuable seconds. You want to target these whenever you’re in the vicinity of them, as completing some levels can be almost impossible without the extra time. This guide will tell you where all of the clocks in the game are.
- Whenever you’re in the vicinity of an objective, fly in its area. Simply flying through it’s area will pause time which can gain you an extra couple of seconds per life.
- Get familiar with your preferred route of objectives before attempting to complete all in one run.
- In each level of the game are three puzzle piece collectibles. Don’t worry if you miss a puzzle piece, when you complete all four bucket lists level select will be unlocked. We have another guide available for all Time Flies puzzle pieces.
So, now you know how to make things a little easier, let’s complete some bucket lists!
Bucket List guide
This guide will be broken up into the game’s four areas. Once you roll credits, you will unlock level select if you’d like to replay any of the levels.
Bucket List 1 – The House:
The first bucket list is as follows:

Clocks for extra time in this zone:
In the first room by the guitar, fly on to the clock face and dial back time for some extra valuable seconds:

In the kitchen, head towards the ceiling to find another clock and more hands to turn back. Be sure not to get caught in the Venus fly trap!:

Bucket list objectives:
Die old _ This needs to be your last objective on a full run. The most morbid but easiest of the list. Simply live out your life till you fall gracefully to your end.
Read a book _ Get up to the first floor and fly left past the computer on the left. On the bookshelf is a book hanging out. Knock it off, then walk all over the blurred letters to reveal them. Revealing all will tick off this item from your bucket list:

Make friends _ On the ground floor, head to the far right until you reach the kitchen. When you’re in the kitchen, at the bottom right corner are some ants. Latch onto one who will carry you through the hole to meet your objective requirement:

Go on tour _ In the second room, you’ll see a record player. Turn it on by landing on the switch, then land on the record for a rotation or two to complete the objective:

Get rich _ In the first room, fly up and head inside the lampshade. Grab all the coins around the light bulb to tick this one off. Don’t fly into the bulb though! That’ll end your very short life quicker than you’d like it to:

Play an instrument _ In the first room, near the door to the lounge there’s a guitar. Simply fly over the strings to strum the guitar to complete this objective:

Get drunk _ In the second room, you’ll see a glass of wine. Instead of going into the glass, there’s a drop of wine on the base. Land in the drop to lap it up, get drunk and send your poor fly’s vision slightly obscured for a few seconds:

Make someone laugh _ When upstairs, fly all the way left to see a human asleep in bed. Fly up to their feet and walk all the way up and down a bit to tickle them. If only real flies landed on your feet not face when you’re asleep!:

Make someone your fan _ In the same bedroom as the sleeping human, fly up to the fan on the ceiling. Fly up to the cord and grab on to the bottom handle, drag it upwards towards the ceiling then pull it all the way down to turn the fan on:

Just roll with it _ head to the upstairs washroom and all the way to the toilet itself. Latch on to the toilet roll and walk all the way up it to unravel every sheet:

Bucket List 2 – The Gallery
The second bucket list is as follows:

This stage is a loop, you can travel left to right, or right to left and end up in the same places. This guide will say go left or right to optimise your time, but you can go either way.
Clocks for extra time in this zone
Without this clock you’re unlikely to have enough time to complete the bucket list in one go. In the attic where you complete ‘push for change’, there’s a grandfather clock in the right of the room. Make sure you dial back to hands before heading back down:

Bucket list objectives
Go out with a bang _ This needs to be your last objective on a full run. in the room we start in, just to the right there’s a candle and a small firework. Fly through the flame then land on the wick to light the firework to end our life with a bang:

Go on a trip _ Flying left from the start, in a room with a lady stood watching three fuzzy TVs, you will see some drugs on a chair, land on them to get our fly as high as a kite:

Start a revolution _ Fly right from the start to the next room. Higher up there’s a wheel, land on it and run to the left to get it spinning until you fall off:

Explore sexuality _ In the room to the right of where you start is a statue of a man or lady (changes randomly) with some leaves covering their genitalia. Fly around to knock all their leaves off to unveil their private area:

Make someone smile _ Head right from the spawn and keep moving left till you find the Mona Lisa-like painting. Land on her nose to make her smile. This is directly above the ‘Paint a masterpiece’ bucket list objective:

Paint a masterpiece _ Heading right from the spawn, keep going and on the floor level you’ll spot a paint pot which you can keep bashing into to knock to the floor. When its on the floor, jump in the paint before using it decorate your own choice of masterpiece on the easel. You need to paint twice to tick off the objective. This is directly below the ‘Make someone smile’ bucket list objective:

Learn to let go _ This one is fun. From the spawn, head up and right till you find this mannequin on the ceiling. Fly inside their neck to fly through their intestines _ yes, really _ and all the way back out their backside. Turn your audio up for the sound on your yucky exit:

Build a home _ Right at the beginning of the zone, stay in the same room but head up and left till you see this board.Simply start at number one then pull the piece of cord around all the numbers in order to create a house:

Bring people together _ Head right from the spawn till you see two busts looking at one another. Use the electric wheelchair’s handle to bring them both together for a kiss, before pulling it back a touch to unlock their lips:

Push for change _ Setting off left again from the spawn you’ll pass through the dark room. Continue left again through the next vent to the room with the guy leaning forward. Keep going left till you see this man with paper behind his back:

Head directly up and use the cord to pull down the attic hatch. Once you have, head up and left. Knock over the smallest item to the far left of the table to trigger a chain reaction and complete your bucket list objective:

Bucket List 3 – The Sewer
This is the smallest of all levels in the game. The third bucket list is as follows:

Clocks for extra time in this zone
There are no clocks in this level.
Bucket list objectives
Go with the flow _ This needs to be your last objective on a full run. Simply get in the water, however you want to:

Travel around the world _ From the start, fly down and you’ll see a globe in the water. Fly on it and keep running to spin it all the way around. If you’re close to falling in the water then fly off and back on at the top to continue the rotation:

Try archery _ From the spawn, head into the room on the left. As you get in there’s a skeleton on the floor with a bow. Fly to the middle to pull the string back as far as you can, then let go to be sprung forward and tick off your objective:

Look great _ Immediately from spawn, fly right and up through a gap in the bricks. Simply fly behind the glasses:

Find beauty _ In what could be something out of a South Park game, this objective requires us to fly inside someone’ s butt. From the spawn, fly down to see a body floating face down:

Fly inside their butt crack and try to get out to sprout a flower all the way up, once it’s fully blossomed try to fly away to tick off this objective. Charming…:

Go horseback riding _ From the start, head to the room on the left then stick high. Enter this pipe at the top:

Fly up through the pipe to see this rocking horse on the left. Rock it left and right a few times to tick this one off:

Sail the sea _ next to the rocking horse is an origami boat. Push it down the hole from whence you came:

Head back down and take a ride to complete the objective:

Spend time with family _ Fly left along the water till you see this piece of sewage(?) floating downstream with flies buzzing around it. Land on it:

Then stay still for as long as it takes for all of the other flies come and join you:

Tune out the noise _ Along the water, you’ll see a sunroof of a car, fly inside:

When inside, tune the radio just below 7 as follows:

Trust someone _ Lurking in the water is a crocodile. Fly inside their mouth and they’ll pull you under before spitting you back out for the objective completion. Note _ twice when I did this the game screen went black and I had to relaunch the game:

Bucket list 4 – The End
Here is the fourth bucket list:

Clocks for extra time in this zone
There are three clocks in this level. You will likely need at least two to complete all objectives but getting all three will give you more time to complete a full bucket list run.
Clock 1 _ Fly up immediately from the start to find the first clock, wind the hands back for more time:

Clock 2 _ Downstairs, head left past the computer to a room with a car toy set. Fly up to find clock 2:

Clock 3 _ Head upstairs, then immediately right to find a grandfather clock next to the ladders to the attic:

Bucket list items
Don’t die alone _ This needs to be your last objective on a full run. Upstairs, head right and through a keyhole to a dark room. Flick on the switch to the right to turn the light on. Then fly into the bulb to fry yourself and add your body to a pile of other misfortunate flies below:

Leave your mark _ Fly right from the start, you’ll see a rug. Land on it and run around a bit to tick this one off:

Call an old friend _ In the hallway to the right from where you start, there’s an old dial turn phone. Land on the number you want then spin it round clockwise till it registers the number. My number was 7946 each time, but that may change for other players. You can always check the number on the fridge in the kitchen to the right:

Indulge yourself – In the kitchen there’s a jelly on the table. Fly through it a bit and back out the top:

Find harmony _ After heading downstairs, go right and you’ll see a putting lane on the floor:

From here fly up directly up through a hole in the ceiling:

Once up here you can knock a ball down and it’ll land on the piano, push the ball around a little to tick the objective off:

Help someone in need _ When you get downstairs there’s a glass on a small table. Push it left to release the fly for this challenge:

Find God _ From the table where you free the fly downstairs, head left to find a computer. Complete a few commands with the gamepad for this one:

Revisit your past _ Downstairs and left, past the computer you’ll cross a car toy set. Fly over it and through the window on the right of this model house:

When inside, you’ll soon realise it’s a model of the first house from the game. Head to where you began your Time Flies adventure to meet your former self:

Go stargazing _ Upstairs, head right and you’ll see a loft ladder.

Fly up to find the telescope, fly inside the sight:

When inside, bounce around a few stars to make them chime and complete the requirement:

Reflect on yourself _ Finally, upstairs in the bathroom, head to the top left of the room to find a mirror you can fly through. Inside is an inverted version of the bathroom. Head inside for a couple of seconds to complete this item:

Once you have completed the final bucket list, credits will roll and your trophy or achievement will unlock, congratulations!
