With Hell Is Us being a little more than a month away, Nacon is showing off one of the most myserious things about the game, its dungeons. Today alongside developer Rogue Factor showed off the dungeons in a new trailer.
Hell Is Us’s fictional setting of Hadea has been ravaged by a civil war. The country has is filled with ancient dungeons that hide a mysterious past. Players will have to go into these dungeons and discover the secrets within to help advance the story.

Rogue Factor aims to make each dungeon have a unique atmosphere and challenging. While fending off enemies you will also have to interact with and observe your surroundings to make it to the end. At the end each dungeon will finish with a final confrontation. Completing each dungeon will reveal a bit more about the history of the land.
“The dungeons are based on the same philosophy that governs the game, which we call “player-plattering”, explains Jonathan Jacques-Belletête. “Through this concept, we want players to rediscover the pleasure of exploring on their own, without being hand-held. Within the deep and mysterious confines of each dungeon, the players must pay attention to their environment in order to orient themselves and figure out how to overcome the many obstacles they face. Each dungeon has its own distinct flavour and memorable moments, culminating in a real sense of achievement once completed.”

The latest trailer also shows off how little Hell Is Us will hold your hand. There will be no quest markers, no map and no handholding. The idea is for players to naturally progress and explore Hadea. And while Hadea is wore torn, it is quite an interesting looking place to explore.
Hell Is Us looks primed and ready to kick off the insane rush of games we are expecting to get in September. With a release date of September 4th it will be one of the first games out during what I call silly season. The game recently went gold so Rogue Factor is is confident they are ready to go.
In the very competive release schedule and action-adventure genre, Hell Is Us is looking to stand out with its approach. With a captivating story mixed with melee combat and its no handholding style of exploration, Hell Is Us is high on our radar here at Gamer Social Club.
Hell Is Us will release on Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 5 and PC. You can see the latest trailer below.
