Nintendo have added a new SNES classic to Nintendo Switch Online as Mario Paint joins the ever-growing library of 32-bit games on the retro catalogue.
Originally released in 1992, Mario Paint was played with a plug-in mouse that matched the Nintendo console's grey and purple design of the time. Much like the original, the new addition to the SNES library can be played with a mouse only. Owners of the Switch 2 can use their Joy-Con's mouse feature to play the game, whereas original Switch users will need to plug a USB mouse in to play.
In Mario Paint, players "can use simple mouse controls to draw pictures with all sorts of colours and drawing tools. You can even create animated sequences and write music to add to your collage. Bring your very own video creations to life by combining animation and music with the art you’ve made!".
There's game modes where you can paint by colour, various minigames to play with your mouse and more.

Mario Paint follows Super Mario Strikers into Nintendo Switch Online, which is part of the GameCube collection of retro games available for Switch 2.
