On the one-year anniversary of the release of Senua's Saga: HellBlade II, Ninja Theory announced the game is headed to PS5 this summer. Dom Matthews, studio head at Ninja Theory, made this announcement in a video posted on the company's Twitter/X page.
The first Hellblade originally released on PlayStation as an exclusive before the studio was purchased by Microsoft and Xbox. With an already established fan base, many hoped that Hellblade 2 would be eventually release on PlayStation. Especially with Xbox's shift to "No Red Lines" strategy.

In the video, Dom stated they are working on optimizing the game for both PS5 and PS5 Pro models. He also stated they wanted to make sure it was released on PlayStation since they have fans dating back to the release of their game Heavenly Sword. This will be an enhanced version of the game and will contain some exciting new features.
The new features will also come to Xbox Series X/S, PC and Steam at the same time as an update. No release date yet but it is confirmed for this summer. The game is currently available for wish listing on PS5.
This is just the most recent first party game from Xbox to be announced for PlayStation. Just last month we saw Oblivion Remastered release on PlayStation as well as Indiana Jones and Forza Horizon 5. What game do you think will be next?
