Revenge of the Savage Planet – Stellaris Prime Creature Guide

One of the new additions to Revenge of the Savage Planet is the ability to catch creatures. Each one is different, and you’ll need to catch them all and research them to unlock different upgrades. So here is our Revenge of the Savage Planet Stellaris Prime Creature Guide.

You can read our full review of Revenge of the Savage Planet here!

Brainard

These little mushroom fellas are super easy, they don’t attack and just inflate when you’re nearby. So just lock on and lasso them by holding down your whip button then reel them in!

Alpha Roccocco/Roccocco

Alpha versions of animals always have the same weaknesses as their smaller counterparts. In the case of both the Alpha Roccocco and the Roccocco you can just lasso them as with the Brainard. Careful though, any friends around them will become hostile when you’re trying to capture one, so make sure there are too many nearby.

Beetle/Fecal Beetle

Again, these critters have the same weak point, right on their backside. To access the weak point on the Fecal Beetle, you’ll need to dodge its slam and then use your whip to remove the purple blobs on its back. Then scan, aim for the orange glowing dot after dodging another slam, and shoot it twice to stun it.

Mito Slime

The Mito Slime cannot be stunned, and if you shoot them, they split in half, making them quite difficult to deal with. If you shoot them enough times, you should notice they then only have one eye left. So split one, get rid of the other by spraying it with water, and repeat this until you’re left with one with only one eye. You can lasso him in from there.

Slitherfly

You’ll get a combat challenge that clues you into what to do with these annoying flying guys. But if you missed it, just spray them with water for a few seconds, and you’ll stun them for an easy catch!

Trickle

Trickle’s are hyper-aggressive and leave lava goo all over the floor when you kill them. They also hunt in packs, so look out when you’re making the catch. Luckily, you don’t need to stun them, just get one on its own and lasso away!

Hognork

The Hognork is a mandatory boss with an achievement (guide here!). The short version is that his weak point is at the roof of his mouth. So dodge his charge, wait for him to roar, and pop him a few times in the chops to stun him.

And thathas been our Stellaris Prime Creature Guide! Go get upgrading!
