Visual novel fans have more to look forward to as Noctuary releases on consoles Switch and Playstation 5 later this year. Originally developed and published by Gratesca Studio for PC, Noctuary currently has overwhelmingly positive reviews on Steam. Noctuary can now find a larger audience on July 31st.
Noctuary tells the story of Francia Dream and Alina Nightsong who have dreams of protecting and serving everyone. Players will control the duo as they explore a their world, experience daily adventures, and unravel the mystery of Lumina Fullmoon, a girl from the sky. Noctuary does include some combat, although this is secondary to the visual novel scenes.
While the combat is secondary, that doesn’t mean it becomes stale. Francia and Alina do have different styles of combat so you can choose who to play as. Although the best way to get through this will be to switch between the two as possible.
For those in the Asia market, there will be physical editions including a limited edition collection. Whether purchasing the standard or limited edition, both will include a set of three postcards to celebrate it’s physical release.

This release of Noctuary will include Japanese voice acting with some well known names. Francia Dream will be played by Kaori Nazuka, known for her roles in anime and games such as Nunnally in Code Geass and Robin in Honkai Star Rail. Alina Nightsong will be played by Kana Ueda who can be recognized as Yoimiya in Genshin Impact and Carlotta in Wuthering Waves.
Noctuary not only comes voice acted but with new DLC. These include additional short stories to dive deeper into the characters and their relationships. There may even be crossover content with other works by developer Gratesca.
Noctuary will be available on July 31, 2025 with a current price point of $24.99 USD. Limited editions will be $40.99 USD. Will you be checking out this updated release?
