Empyreal, the action RPG being developed by Silent Games and published by Secret Mode, has revealed it’s release date and price as part of today’s The Mix X Kinda Funny Spring Showcase 2025. As a way to mark the occasion, the developers have released a 7 minute gameplay overview trailer, narrated by Creative Director Joseph Rogers, which you can watch below.
The game will be releasing on Thursday, May 8th 2025, across PC, Xbox Series, and PlayStation 5, priced at £24.99/$29.99/€29.99.
For people who have not seen or heard anything about Empyreal, described as a “complex, challenging, feature-rich action RPG”, here is the game’s Steam Page synopsis:
“In a far-flung corner of the galaxy an Expedition arrives on a hitherto unexplored planet to find a colossal Monolith built by a lost civilisation. These are no mere ruins: the Monolith is filled with danger, and the Expedition is ill-equipped to unearth the secrets within.“
“All eyes turn towards an elite mercenary who may succeed where all others have failed.“

As seen from the in depth trailer, Empyreal is a single player expierence that has some asynchronous multiplayer elements as well. This includes an experimental mechanic where players are able to “gift” loot to others through rifts that appear after boss fights.
A demo for Empyreal is available on its Steam Page, so gamers have a chance to try this new action-RPG before it arrives on May 8th.
