It’s December 22nd, just 3 days before Christmas, but that doesn’t appear to be stopping GSC game world from keeping the fixes for Stalker 2 coming. Patch 1.1.3 for the game was announced over on the official Twitter/X account early this morning.
? Gooooooood morning, the Zone! We have released Patch 1.1.3 for S.T.A.L.K.E.R.2: Heart of Chornobyl — the last patch for this year. A patch will cover fix on the Main line story, some crashes, and bugs with the game.

This is by far the smallest patch of the bunch so far but it does bring with it some welcomed fixes for the main quest. Notes are below
So, let's see what Patch 1.1.3 brings to the Zone:
- Fixed an issue when Richter could disappear from the Enerhetyk Palace of Culture during the The Road to the Foundation mission.
- Added temporary solution to avoid crash on shader compilation by skipping shaders warm up.
- Fixed a few ACCESS VIOLATION ERROR crashes.
- Fixed an issue when invert axis options could not be saved after restarting the game.
- Fixed an issue when controls could be lost after shooting, reloading and then examining the artifact.
Also in the notes for the patch is a reminder that they have created a folder for back up save data. Use the path way below in C drive on PC and just replace the “%username%” with your windows user name and you should be good to go should you encounter any bugs or crashes that corrupt your save data.
C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Stalker2\Saved\Backup
Patch 1.1.3 comes only a few weeks after the Stalker 2 dev team put out a heartfelt message on the social media accounts, thanking their fans for their support.
We’ll no doubt get more news and updates on Stalker 2 in the new year, but I think it’s fair to say that GSC Game World have put the work in to improve the Zone as much as they can before the holidays.
