The team over at Team Asobi has been busy bringing their hit game Astro Bot more updates and tomorrow will see the release of a fun winter themed level just in time for Christmas with Winter Wonder.
Announced today via the PlayStation blog the Astro Bot Winter Wonder update will go live at 6pm PT on December 12th featuring the new level and is completely free. Curiously this means it will be releasing in the middle of The Game Awards. Team Asobi is being pretty tight lipped on this update so we don't have many details and if it will include any winter themed bots, but at least we won't have long to wait to find out.
What we do know is that players will have had to complete the game in order to access the Winter Wonder level. Team Asobi has also said the level was designed to be played by everyone from children to adults so don't expect an overly difficult level.
Team Asobi and PlayStation are hoping this isn't the only exciting news for Astro Bot fans tomorrow either. As mentioned tomorrow is The Game Awards and Astro Bot is nominated for many awards including the big one, Game Of The Year. Considering we gave the game a 10 in our review we think it has a good shot. In our review we called it a "must play for PlayStation 5 owners" and a "love letter to PlayStation's history".
Astro Bot was released on September 6th and is a PlayStation 5 exclusive and has since gone on to sell 1.5 million copies.
