If you have been playing Call of Duty for as long as I have, you may have been just as surprised as me when I reached the Emergence mission. Spoilers ahead so please, if you have yet to reach this mission and don’t want it spoiled read no further.

Well Treyarch has finally done it, zombies are in the Campaign. Not only that but they have bosses. Not one, but five total bosses. If you are trying to get the Acheivement/Trophy Case and Point (beat campaign on veteran difficulty) then this might prove to be a challenge for some. Don’t stress, I am here to help!
So to complete this mission you have to access an elevator that requires four keycards. To do this you are given a map to four sections of the map that are highlighted the color of the keycard within it. Yellow, Blue, Red, and Green. Below is a video to our Youtube channel where you can watch me run everything I am about to explain.
Yellow Key Card
The first boss we are going to tackle is the yellow keycard boss. Once you try to pick up the grappling hook, the boss will charge you. You will be prompted to press LB/L1 to grapple hook away from the boss. You will find yourself in a nice spot to shoot from, but don’t get too comfortable because the platform will move up and down.
As you knock health off of the boss zombies will come from the left, make sure to use equipment to knock them out quickly before they overwhelm you. The boss won’t wait for you to clear the zombies before attacking you.
Once you’ve knocked his health down again to a point where he dissapears, zombies will come from the right side of the room. Rinse repeat. The third time he dissapears zombies will come from both sides of the room. If you get stuck here, there are two tactics you can attempt here…
- Run in circles in an attempt to herd all the zombies in one pact so you can’t be attacked from behind. Then slowly pick away at them before attacking the boss.
- or kill enough zombies for the boss to come back out and focus on him as quickly as possible. The zombies will dissapear once he is dead.

Green Key Card
So the green card boss is for sure the scariest and hardest in my opinion. You will be surrounded by a lot of maniquins that stand still but move towards you when you aren’t looking. You can shoot them down, but so many of them spawn, its best to just keep your eyes literally on them.
You will gather 4 folders from each side of the room and return them to a file holder on the wall in front of an office. Once you do this a red maniquin will appear, he will run away from you as a ton of maniquins will appear. Again, if you don’t want to run out of ammo, just stay focused on catching the red maniquin.
Pump some bullets in to him and you will be prompted to grapple him. Rinse and repeat this 3 or 4 times and he will transform in to a rather large scary zombie that shoots giant yellow orbs at you. He will also charge you so be sure to quickly grapple away from him as soon as he transforms.
Your grapple through all these battles will be your best friend. Make sure to use it constantly to maintain distance. Use the office dividers as a good grapple point. Don’t forget to grapple back up to the balcony where you came in as a good line of sight over the whole room.

Blue Key Card
The blue key card boss can be tricky, but easy to cheese if you follow my directions. This boss can turn invisible. To spot him all you need to do is look for a faint black fog surrounding an object that is vibrating, shoot at it and the boss will appear.
The trick to easily beating this boss is to grapple up and down off the water tank you tackles you from. If you start to get overwhelmed, grapple to the other side of the room, rinse repeat. It really is that easy.

I hit a snag when fighting him, as you will see in the video, where I ran out of ammo and had to run away. Once I found some ammo laying around the room the fight was over shortly after.
Red Key Card
Getting to this boss can be tricky. Its the only boss I show in the video on how to reach him. When you jump in the water look to your left. You will swim through an opening and come out to a room where 3 levers will need to be pulled. You will only have a short amount of time to pull them all once you have pulled the first one. So make sure you know where they are at before pulling them. One is hidden behind a locked door, so make sure to crack the code before pulling the levers.
Make your way back where you came in and the boss will be ready to fight you upon interacting with the red key card. This boss is powerful, but if we use the same tactic from the yellow key card boss it should be no problem for you.
The arena is circular and the boss will jump in and out of the pit to try and catch you. Simply walk in circles around the pit while shooting the boss and zombies. There will be plenty of ammo and different weapons to pick up as you walk around. Zombies will indeed spawn from the sides of the stadium, but as long as you keep walking in circles they will herd together and be easy to take out.

Final Boss
Once you access the elevator with all four keycards you reach the final boss. While he seems intimidating, he isn’t. I killed him in my first try so I don’t have much advise to give here. All I can say is how I beat him in the video.
I immediately felt overwhelmed, so I looked to my right and started climbing the walkways to the top of the room. Once I was up there I walked backwards from the boss and focused my fire on him. I was able to kill him quickly before getting surrounded by zombies.
