The next generation of extreme sports in gaming is on the horizon as developer Rage Squid along with publisher No More Robots has announced the next game in the Descenders series with Descenders Next.
Descenders Next takes what the original did and turns everything up to 100. While Descenders just featured biking, Next will feature snowboarding, skateboarding and every other extreme style of sport you can think of. It will also feature both solo and multiplayer modes.
While we don't have many more details at the moment we do know the game is launching on PC and Xbox as well as launching day 1 on Xbox Game Pass. Curiously there is no mention of PlayStation as of yet which could suggest it's at least for now an Xbox console exclusive. However Mike Rose of No More Robots replied to a comment on the announcement about a PlayStation version and said "at some point".
The first Descenders game has proved tremendously popular amongst gamers, especially those with Xbox Game Pass, so it's no surprise to see a deal already in place to being Descenders Next to the service when it launches in 2025.
