Microsoft Responds To Latest FTC Filing, Calls It Misleading

Yesterday the FTC filed a complaint against Microsoft and its recent Xbox Game Pass changes and today Microsoft has responded.

Microsoft's response

As one might expect Microsoft was quick to say the FTC is wrong. While the FTC claimed Xbox Game Pass Standard Tier was a "degraded" version Microsoft says that's far from the case as Standard includes multiplayer services while it's previous Core Tier didn't.

Microsoft also fired back on the price increase claiming that while it is true that they raised prices that the service isn't the same as it was as it's now receiving more "day and date" games.

As well Microsoft says that during the entire court proceedings the FTC barely mentioned it's subscription service as it focused on the idea they would keep Call Of Duty off of Sony's PlayStation which they are not doing.

I'm sure this is the last we will hear of this. Where it ultimately ends up is anyones guess.
