Outright Games today announced that a brand new game in the Transformers series will be making it’s a way to PC and consoles this October, with TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials, a racing adventure game, with rogue-lite elements. Colour me intrigued.
Check out the reveal trailer below:
TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials features a story that sees you being able to play as both the Autobots and the Decepticons to take down the villain NEMESIS PRIME who has gone and stolen all the ‘Prime Relics’ (I mean, they are named after him so, can’t blame him really).

The gameplay incorporates both arcade racing in vehicle form and combat in bot-form, as players must defeat enemies and make it to the finish line. As players progress and collect new relics, they will level up their skills and unlock new iconic playable characters and skins.Â
The game will have the single player campaign mode, as well as a local multiplayer Arcade mode for two players. Strangely no mention of online multiplayer anywhere.

Speaking on the announcement, Stephanie Malham, Managing Director of Outright Games said:
“It has been a pleasure to continue our collaboration with Hasbro and return to the world of TRANSFORMERS. With 2024 marking the 40th anniversary of this iconic IP, we are very excited to be releasing the first ever console racing video game in the franchise’s history. With the inclusion of rogue-lite elements, TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials’s gameplay complements the dynamic Transformers robots.”

TRANSFORMERS: Galactic Trials will release on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series on 11 October 2024.
So who’s excited for this one? Seems like the bots are back in town!
